CIY / PULPO A LA GALLEGA Y OTRAS TAPAS

Literally, it must have past at least 6 months since I last posted about a recipe. I had a hard time dealing with the lack of time and energy that my internship brought. I felt like I never had the opportunity to go shopping for groceries without giving up another important activity, such as feeding this blog, spending time with friends or family, reading a book or just staying in bed all day. The other reason is related to a positive change in my diet. Since April, I have been eating a lot healthier, therefore what I managed to cook were just fast, easy and healthy recipes that I felt didn't worth showing. At least not yet.

This past saturday, my friend Oriana pay me an early visit and for some strange reason she had never tried any of my dishes. It was a beautiful morning to cook somenthig for her. Due to the lack of groceries, creativity was needed. Luckily, there were some baby octopus my mom bought for a rainy day. The rest of ingredients were things one can regularly find in a home of Spanish and Lebanese descent: potatos, bell peppers, paprika, pita bread, olives and mushrooms. I decided to go for the obvious choice and prepare some tapas.

My friend was delighted and she says she will give it a try someday as it is such and easy recipe.

I highly doubt she will. She can cook as much as I can sing and vice versa.

Literalmente, debieron pasar por lo menos 6 meses desde la última vez que publiqué una entrada sobre una receta. Me costó mucho combatir la falta de tiempo y energía que trajeron consigo mis prácticas. Sentía que nunca tenía la oportunidad de comprar provisiones sin renunciar a otra actividad importante, como alimentar este blog, pasar tiempo con mis amigos o familia, leer un libro o simplemente pasar todo el día en la cama. La otra razón está relacionada con un cambio positivo en mi alimentación. Desde Abril, me he estado alimentando mucho más saludable, es por esto que lo que lograba cocinar eran solo recetas rápidas, fáciles y sanas que pensé que no valían la pena moestrar. Por lo menos no por ahora.

Este sábado que pasó, mi amiga Oriana me hizo una visita temprana y por alguna extraña razón ella nunca había probado ninguno de mis platos. Era una linda mañana para cocinarle algo. Debido a la falta de víveres, la creatividad fue necesitada. Por suerte, habían unos pulpos baby que mi mamá había comprado sólo porque sí. El resto de ingredientes eran cosas que uno puede encontrar regularmente en un hogar de ascendencia española y libanesa: papas, pimentones, páprika, pan árabe, aceitunas y champiñones. Decidí ir por la elección más obvia y preparar unas tapas.

Mi amiga quedó encantada y dice que la intentará algún día porque es una receta muy fácil.

Dudo mucho que lo haga. Ella cocina tanto como yo canto y viceversa.

LOOK OF THE DAY: "DON'T GIVE YOUR HEART"

After a long and happy weekend in Cartagena, the enimatic and picturesque city located in the caribbean coast of Colombia, I come back feeling refreshed and somehow optimistic toward what's coming next. One of my closest girlfriends moved back from Buenos Aires after 5 years of living abroad, so we decided to make the most of the long weekend and pay a visit to Cartagena. 

In 10 days I finish my internship period (from my International Business major) at Procaps S.A.S.
I must accept that even though I don't plan to dedicate my existence to an office job, specially if it isn't related to the fashion industry or another applied art, I learned a lot about myself during this interval of my being. Aditionally I was asked to assist two interesting projects as creative director: the creation of the new website for the division and the development of a biannual magazine. I am currently working hard on finshing the latest; hopefully they will be pleased with the result. 

One day after I'm done with the internship, I return to my "Fashion Marketing and Communications" studies and to Ballet lessons aswell. Furthermore, only 2 weeks after that, it's my graduation and, well, Fashion Weeks and "September Issues" will be on course. So this September is going to be filled with many changes and emotions. I'm feeling excited already.

Luego de un largo y feliz fin de semana en Cartagena, la enigmática y pintoresca ciudad localizada en la costa caribe de Colombia, regreso sintiéndome renovada y, de alguna forma, optimista hacia lo que está por venir. Una de mis amigas más cercanas regresó de Buenos Aires luego de 5 años de estar viviendo en el exterior, de manera que decidimos aprovechar al máximo el fin de semana largo y hacerle una visita a Cartagena.

En 10 días termino mi período de prácticas (de mi carrera de Negocios Internacionales) en Procaps S.A.S. Debo aceptar que a pesar de que no planeo dedicar mi existencia a un trabajo de oficina, especialmente si este no está relacionado con la industria de la moda o alguna otra arte aplicada, aprendí mucho sobre mi misma durante este intervalo de mi ser. Adicionalmente me pidieron apoyar dos interesantes proyectos como directora creativa: la creación de la nueva página web de la división y el desarrollo de una revista de publicación semestral. En este momento me encuentro trabajando duro para terminar el segundo; esperemos que los directivos queden complacidos con el resultado.

Al día siguiente que termino las prácticas, regreso a mis estudios de "Mercadeo y Comunicación de la Moda" y también a mis clases de Ballet. Además, sólo 2 semanas después de eso es mi graduación y, bueno, las Semanas de la Moda y las "Ediciones de Septiembre" estarán en curso. Así que este Septiembre estará lleno de cambios y emociones. Desde ahora estoy emocionada.

LOOK OF THE DAY: "TWO OF A KIND"

She came to this world so I never had to feel alone. I promised to always take care of her and even indulge her at times she didn't deserve. She is 5 years younger and 0.5 ft taller. When we were little we used to play together. While I enjoyed competing in board games she loved painting (furniture included) so we did both. As the years passed and I became a teenager while she remained a child. Naturally, we grew a little apart but it was only a matter of time until we could find our way back to each other. Nowadays, she is 17 and I am 22 and eventough we are living two different moments in life, every day we become closer. She is still, and honestly I think she will always be, careless with objects. This means that for the rest of my days I will get home to find a dress damaged, a missing earring or a broken lipstick, but there is not much I can do as only an hour after the incident I can't help to cook for her something with all my love. I hold different titles that defines our relationship: I'm her cousin, sister, godmother and friend. Those are many titles to live up to. Hopefully, I will maintain a positive outcome of the equation of making her happy and being a good example for her to follow.

This post is dedicated to you, my little princess.

Ella vino a este mundo para que nunca me tuviese que sentir sola. Prometí cuidar siempre de ella e incluso complacerla en ocasiones que no lo merecía. Ella es 5 años menor y 15 cm más alta. Cuando éramos pequeñas solíamos jugar juntas. Mientras yo disfrutaba compitiendo en juegos de mesa, ella disfrutaba pintando (muebles incluidos), así que hacíamos las dos cosas. Pasaron los años y me convertía en adolescente mientras ella se mantuvo niña. Naturalmente, nos distanciamos un poco pero era sólo cuestión de tiempo hasta que pudiéramos encontrar nuestro camino de vuelta a la otra. Hoy en día, ella tiene 17 y yo tengo 22 años y aunque estamos viviendo dos momentos distintos de la vida, cada día que pasa nos acercamos más. Ella todavía es, y para ser honesta creo que siempre será, descuidada con los objetos. Eso significa que por el resto de mis días llegaré a casa para encontrar un vestido estropeado, un arete extraviado o un pintalabios partido, pero no hay mucho que pueda hacer al respecto si tan sólo una hora después del incidente no puedo resistirme a cocinarle algo con todo mi amor. Sostengo diferentes títulos que definen nuestra relación: soy su prima, hermana, madrina y amiga. Estos son muchos títulos por cumplir. Con ilusión, espero mantener un resultado positivo en la ecuación de hacerla feliz y ser un buen ejemplo para ella seguir.

MÉLANGE #2

It's been a long time since I created a post about a group of treasured belongings. In this occasion I put together things from completely different origins and purposes, which only have in common the fact that they have a proud and careful owner and, of course, the beauty I find in each one of them. Things take meaning when we attribute them feelings or sensations, because otherwise they are just that: inanimate objects that may or may not have some use.

The lipstick is an anticipated graduation present from a dear friend that just moved back from Buenos Aires. The color itself is just mesmerizing, but as there is no M.A.C. store in Barranquilla this "beauty" becomes more special. The MET postcard of "The Parc Monceau" by Claude Monet is another gift from another friend who knows how passionate I am about art. The Zara SS13 leopard leather Bag was a surprise gift from my mother. One time we were shopping and I saw this bag and it was love at first sight but at the moment I couldn't afford it without letting go the skirts and shirts I needed for my new job. It turns out it was all for the best as she found it on sale for less than half of its original price!!! The other very special thing I want to expand on is the Royal Doulton collectible porcelain character jug which my dad and I found on a flee market and proudly joins the rest of our collection which one day I will certaintly share.
Gucci Rush 2 was a scent I had in mind since a friend had it 6 years ago. I find it really intriguing and uncommon among girls in general; I loved the scent but its sillage is weak let alone its longevity. 

My favorite fashion magazine is without any doubt Harper's Bazaar, more particulary the spanish edition which is never available in my city (and if it was it would arrive with at least 3 months delay and at an unreasonable price) so I survive with the not-a-bit negligible Latinoamerican edition which arrives a month late. This is the reason this is the June issue instead of July's. Finally a fresh red rose. I personally enjoy having fresh flowers at home so everytime I get there one can sense a romantic, calming and cozy enviroment.

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que creé una entrada sobre un grupo de preciadas pertenencias. En esta ocasión reuní cosas de orígenes y propósitos completamente diferentes, las cuales sólo tienen en común el hecho que tienen una orgullosa y cuidadosa dueña y, por supuesto, la belleza que encuentro en cada uno de ellas. Las cosas toman significado cuando le atribuimos sentimientos o sensaciones, porque de resto son sólo eso: objetos inanimados que pueden o no tener algún uso.

El pintalabios es un regalo anticipado de graduación de una querida amiga que acaba de mudarse de regreso de Buenos Aires. El color es hipnotizante, pero como no hay una tienda M.A.C. en Barranquilla esta "belleza" se convierte en algo más especial. La postal del MET con "The Parc Monceau" por Claude Monet fue otro regalito de otra amiga que sabe cuanto disfruto del arte. El bolso en cuero de leopardo de la colección PV13 de Zara fue un regalo sorpresa de mi mamá. Una vez estábamos de compras y al ver este bolso fue amor a primera vista, pero en ese momento no podía permitirme ese "lujo" sin tener que olvidarme de faldas y blusas que necesitaba para mi nuevo trabajo. Resultó que todo fue para mejor debido a que ella lo encontró en descuento por menos de la mitad de su precio original!!! La otra especial cosa en la que quiero expandir es en la jarra de porcelana de personajes coleccionables de Royal Doulton, la cual mi papá y yo encontramos en un mercado de pulgas y que con orgullo se une al resto de nuestra colección la cual con seguridad les compartiré. 

Gucci Rush 2 era una fragancia que estaba en mi mente desde que una amiga tenía hace 6 años; la encuentro muy intrigante y poco común entre las chicas en general; amé el perfume pero su estela es muy débil y ni hablar de su duración.

Mi revista de moda favorita es sin duda alguna Harper's Bazaar, en particular la edición española, la cual nunca está disponible en mi ciudad (y si lo estuviese llegaría con 3 meses de retraso y a un precio poco razonable) así que sobrevivo con la para nada despreciable edición para Latinoamérica que llega con un mes de tardanza. Es por eso que esta es el número de Junio en vez del de Julio. Por último una rosa roja fresca. En lo personal disfruto de tener flores frescas en casa para que cada vez que llegue uno pueda percibir un ambiente de calma, romántico y acogedor.

LOOK OF THE DAY: "RED PENCIL"

This season has been all about midi skirts and the "pencil" silhouette is one of my favorites. I find it particulary flattering as it embraces the woman's shape and potentiates it. This tipe of skirt evokes a range of mixed feelings: it is delicate but strong, conservative but suggestive, classic but vanguard. However, the substantive that screams the loudest is the F E M I N I N I T Y.

Esta temporada todo ha tenido que ver con las faldas "midi" o a media altura y la silueta lápiz es una de mis favoritas. La encuentro particularmente halagadora puesto que abraza la figura de la mujer y la potencializa. Este tipo de falda evoca un rango de sentimientos encontrados: es delicada pero fuerte, conservadora pero sugestiva, clásica pero vanguardista. Sin embargo, el sustantivo que más fuerte "grita" es la F E M I N I D A D.

LOOK OF THE DAY: "SLOW DANCING IN A BURNING ROOM"

I cut my hair. I'm telling you this because it is an event that does not happen often. This is the time my hair grew the longest and I wanted to take some pictures right before I cut it. To give you some perspective, if worn straight, I could sit on top of my hair tips. 

The result has nothing to do with the length of my hair, but it was worth the attempt.

Me corté el pelo. Les cuento esto porque no es un evento que sucede con mucha frecuencia. Esta fue la ocasión en que mi pelo ha estado lo más largo y quería tomar unas fotos justo antes de cortarlo. Para darles un idea, si lo llevaba liso, podía sentarme encima de las puntas de mi pelo. 

El resultado no está relacionado en lo absoluto con el largo de mi pelo, pero merecía el intento.

Espero que estén disfrutando el fin de semana como lo tenían previsto.

BALLERINA

Some of you may have already noticed that I'm passionate about Ballet. I started attending Ballet lessons at the age of 3 and never ceased to practice until I turned 16. Then I returned when I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina during an academic exchange, only to realize that I had the level of a 10 year-old argentinean dancer (best case scenario). Truth is, it wasn't a surprise. These girls start dancing at the age of 3 as well, but believe me when I tell you they danced the same amount of time they spent in school. When they were 15, most of them changed to art schools where Ballet became a priority. Anyway, niether I have the physical predisposition (I've never been skinny, let alone tall) nor did I practiced as much as this discipline requires. I never dreamed to be a professional Ballet dancer, it has always been just a hobby for me, a therapy. The sensation could be described as "a private moment where multiple movements take place at the same time leaving no room for any kind of thoughts, while endeavoring to be accurate and graceful." Lately I haven't been able to dance. At the beginnig, my schedule didn't match and now it all points I'm injured. I miss feeling as infinite as Ballet made me feel.
I just wanted to share this very special photoshoot with you. In fact, it is even closer from my heart as it took place at the first house of my beloved Sitti (grandmother).

Algunos de ustedes ya podrán haber notado que me apasiona el Ballet. Comencé a asistir a clases de Ballet a la edad de 3 años y nunca cesé hasta que tuve 16. Luego regresé cuando estuve en Buenos Aires, Argentina durante un intercambio académico, sólo para darme cuenta que tenía el nivel de una bailarina argentina de 10 años (en el mejor de los casos). La verdad es que no fue una sorpresa estas chicas empiezan a bailar a la edad de 3 años también, pero créanme cuando les cuento que ellas bailaban la misma cantidad de tiempo que pasaban en el colegio. Cuando tenían 15, la mayoría de ellas se cambiaba a un colegio artístico donde el Ballet se convirtió en una prioridad. De cualquier forma, ni tengo la predisposición física (nunca he sido muy delgada, mucho menos alta) ni tampoco jamás practiqué tanto como esta disciplina lo requiere. Nunca soñé con ser bailarina profesional de Ballet, siempre ha sido un hobby para mi, una terapia. La sensación puede ser descrita como "un momento privado donde múltiples movimientos toman lugar simultáneamente sin dejar espacio para ningún tipo de pensamientos, mientras te esfuerzas por ser preciso y agraciado". Últimamente no he podido bailar. Al principio mi horario no encajaba y ahora todo apunta que estoy lesionada. Extraño mucho sentirme tan infinita como el Ballet me hacía sentir. 

Sólo quería compartir esta tan especial sesión fotográfica con ustedes. De hecho, esta está aún más cerquita de mi corazón puesto que se llevó a cabo en la primera casa de mi amada Sitti (abuela).

LOOK OF THE DAY: "OH! SPRING"

Happy Holy Week for all! I will devote myself sincerely and without reservetion to resting, reading (I haven't decided between "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo and "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins, which is the second book of the trilogy "The Hunger Games"), going to the beach and sharing time with my family and friends. Thanks a lot for each one of the visits the blog has received, they rejoice me immensenly.

LOOK OF THE DAY: "FUN, SUN, RUN"

It's been, literally, months since I last posted a look of the day. Honestly I have no excuse only that I wanted to take the pictures with a better camera. But as I already told you in another post I'll be working with what I've got, to the best of my abilities. I had a lot of fun shooting this "look of the day" because I was able to spend some quality time with my beloved cousin Susana (which by the way is such a gorgeous little -giant- thing) and her funny friend Daniela. I hope you like the result, because I loved it.

Han pasado, literalmente, meses desde la última vez que publiqué un "look" del día. Honestamente no tengo excusa, únicamente que deseaba tomar las fotografías con una mejor cámara. Pero como ya les comenté en una entrada anterior voy a trabajar con lo que tengo, al máximo de mis capacidades. Me divertí un montón al hacer está sesión de "look" del día, porque tuve la oportunidad de pasar tiempo de calidad con mi adorada prima Susana (que por cierto es una pequeña -gigante- hermosa cosa) y su divertida amiga Daniela. Espero que les guste el resultado, porque a mi me encantó.

Last season was all about platforms -each one higher than the last one- and I must admit it was a really confortable trend. This season we go back in time to take inspiration, returning to the present to reinvent the aesthetics to provide a current look. My beloved 50's and 60's are back and they are a huge trend for SS13, and it even seems it will stay for a bit longer than one season long, as proposed in Marc by Mar Jacobs AW13 collection, where the classic Pin-Up girl was the main statement.

These heels will go along heavenly with half-leg long skirts or a high-waisted denim shorts. They will complement to perfection 50's-inpired looks or will give a femininity twist to an audacious one. Either way they are a must-have for this season.

La temporada anterior estuvo llena de plataformas -cada una más alta que la anterior- y debo admitir que fue una tendencia muy cómoda. Esta temporada retrocedemos en el tiempo para tomar inspiración y regresamos al presente para reinventar la estética para poveer un "look" vigente. Mis adorados 50's y 60's están de regreso y son una importante tendencia para el SS13 y que al parecer estará presente por más de una temporada, así como lo pudimos apreciar en la colección AW13 de Marc by Marc Jacobs, donde la clásica chica Pin-Up fue la declaración principal.

Estas sandalias se verán increíble con faldas a media pierna o shorts vaqueros a la cintura. Complementarán a la perfección looks inspirados en los 50's o darán un giro de femininidad a un look audáz. De cualquier manera son un "must-have" para esta temporada.

CIY / SEA BASS CEVICHE

Hi there! It's been a while since I last posted a recipe. Don't get me wrong, I still love and very much enjoy cooking. Actually, since I have had a lot of free time, I have been cooking in almost a daily basis.  The thing is that I haven't been able to purchase a semi-professional camera and I must confess I hate when I am not able to deliver things with the quality I envisioned. I am close to get that camera, but I don't want to keep delaying posts because of it, so please forgive the quality of the picture. I tried to do my best with what I've got  by taking the pictures with an ideal amount of sun light, without flash and of course imprinting the most of the effort into the cooking. 

I didn't follow any specific recipe to prepare this dish, I just put together the ingredients I thought a Peruvian Ceviche would contain and just added a little twist! 

It is a very easy recipe, please enjoy and if you decide to give it a try I would love to see your results or answer any questions you may have.

!Hola chicos! Ha pasado un tiempo considerable desde la última vez que publiqué una receta. No me malinterpreten, todavía adoro y disfruto mucho cocinar. De hecho, desde que he tenido bastante tiempo libre, he estado cocinando casi a diario. Lo que sucede es que no he tenido la posibilidad todavía de adquirir una cámara semi-profesional y debo confesar que detesto cuando se me imposibilita entregar las cosas con la calidad que imaginé. Estoy cerca de tener esa cámara, pero no quiero continuar posponiendo entradas por esperarla, de manera que por favor disculpen la calidad de la fotografía. Intenté hacer lo mejor posible con lo que tengo al tomar las fotografías con la cantidad ideal de luz natural, sin flash y por supuesto imprimiendo el mayor esfuerzo en la cocina. 

No seguí ninguna receta específica para preparar este plato, simplemente junté los ingredientes que pensé que un Ceviche Peruano contendría y le agregué un pequeño giro! 

Es una receta muy fácil, por favor disfrútenla y si deciden intentarla me encantaría ver sus resultados o responder cualquier pregunta que pueda surgir.

RED CARPET SEASON: ACADEMY Awards 2013

The "Red Carpet Season" concludes with the Academy Awards, best know as the "Oscars". It represents the biggest night of the motion picture industry since it honors what many would consider "the best of the seventh art". In my personal and humble opinion, it doesn't always reflects such absolute assertion, nonetheless, I sincerely hope Ben Affleck hangs on very tightly to his Oscar for "Best Picture" for "Argo", because I don't see how it could happen ever again; although with "The Academy" you'll never know.

La "Temporada de Alfombra Roja" conluye con los "Academy Awards", mejor conocidos como los "Oscars". Representan la noche más importante de la industria cinematográfica, debido a que reconocen lo que muchos considerarían "lo mejor del séptipo arte". En mi opinión humilde y personal, estos premios no reflejan tan absoluta afirmación, no obstante espero sinceramente que Ben Affleck se aferre fuertemente a su Oscar por "Mejor Película" por "Argo, porque no veo como esto podría vovler a suceder; aunque con "La Academia" nunca se sabe.

RED CARPET SEASON: BAFTA Awards 2013

The British equivalent of the Academy Awards -or Oscars as they are commonly known- are the BAFTA Awards. These are the epitome of the art forms of the moving image -film, television and video games- of  a the passing year. Speaking about the winners, "Django Unchained" by Quentin Tarantino won "Original Screenplay in 2013" (well deserved) and Christoph Waltz won "Supporting Actor in 2013" for his role in this film. "Film in 2013" went to "Argo" and Daniel Day-Lewis won "Leading Actor in 2013" for his performance in "Lincoln". The event took place at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday, February 10, 2013

El equivalente británico de los "Premios de la Academia" -o los Oscars como se les conoce comúnmente- son los Premios BAFTA. Estos son la epítome de las formas artísticas de la imagen en movimiento - cine, televisión y vídeo juegos- del pasado año. Hablando de los ganadores, "Django Unchained" por Quentin Tarantino ganó "Guión Original en 2013" (muy merecido) y Christoph Waltz ganó "Actor de Reparto en 2013" por su role en ese film. "Película en 2013" fue para "Argo" y Daniel Day-Lewis ganó "Actor Principal en 2013" por su actuación en "Lincoln". RED CARPET SEASON: GRAMMY Awards 2013

The 55th edition of the "Music's Biggest Night" took place on February 10, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and it scored the second-largest viewers since 1993 (28.4 million). The foregoing is attributed to the uproarious dress-code memo the production send to all the attendees. In my opinion, the best of the evening was the "Bob Marley Tribute" held by Bruno Mars, Sting and Rihanna.

"Record of the Year" went to "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye feat. Kimbra, while Fun surprised the audience by winnig "Best New Artist", award that was thought Frank Ocean was to win.

Let's talk fashion now. I have to say I was a little disappointed. Even the "Best Dressed" were a bit loose in their choices. Kelly Rowland completetly nailed it and Janelle Monae showed good taste and skills by putting together an androgynous outfit integrated by pieces of different brands.

La 55a edición de la "Gran Noche de la Música" tuvo lugar el 10 de Febrero de 2013 en el "Staples Center" en Los Angeles y contó con la segunda mayor espectadores desde 1993 (28.4 millones). Lo anterior se le atribuye al escandaloso memo de código de vestimenta que la producción envió a todos los asistentes. En mi opinión lo mejor de la noche fue el "Tributo a Bob Marley" a cargo de Bruno Mars, Sting y Rihanna. 

"Grabación del Año" fue otorgada a "Somebody That I Used To Know" por Gotye feat. Kimbra, mientras la banda Fun sorprendió a la audiencia ganando "Mejor Nuevo Artista", galardón que se pensaba llevaría Frank Ocean.

Ahora, hablemos de moda. Debo decir que estoy un poco decepcionada. Incluso las "Mejores Vestidas" estuvieron un poco vagas. Kelley Rowland lo logró muy bien y Janelle Monae demostró buen gusto y habilidades al ensamblar un atuendo andrógeno integrado por piezas de diferentes diseñadores.

RED CARPET SEASON: SAG Awards 2013

The 19th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Sunday, January 27, 2013. In terms of fashion it was a complete delight for the eyes. There where so many great choices that I couldn't decide my usual best 4 and, instead, the list of best dressed climbed to 8.

RED CARPET SEASON: GOLDEN GLOBE Awards 2013

The Golden Globe Awards mark the beginning of the "Red Carpet Season" each year. These awards are not only important for film and television, where the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizes excellency in these fields, but also is relevant to the fashion industry because is the first occasion in the year where actresses, actors and entertainment figures display the attires designed by fashion designers and houses from all over the world.

The 70th edition of the Golden Globe Awards were presented on January 13, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Los premios "Golden Globe" marcan el comienzo de la "Temporada de Alfombra Roja" cada año. Estos premios no son sólo importantes para el cine y la televisión, donde la "Hollywood Foreign Press Association" (HFPA) reconoce la excelencia en estos campos, sino también es relevante para la industria de la moda porque es la primera ocasión en el año donde los actrices, actores y figuras del entretenimiento exhiben los atuendos diseñados por diseñadores y casas de moda de todo el mundo.
