MET GALA 2014

I very much enjoy the thematic nature of the MET Gala. It becomes easy to criticize and uneasy to swallow -which i love-, as the attendees are encourage to follow an specific theme-based dress code every year. All in all, its a night designed to exalt fashion while pushing some bounderies. Its refreshing to have carte blanche at least once in a while, would't you agree?

This version of the Costume Institute Gala runs in favor of renowned couturier Charles James. Therefore a "White Tie & Decorations" dress code was enforced. Dramatic full evening dresses were expected and delivered as well as rebels -without a cause- played their part to perfection.

Disfruto muchísimo del carácter temático de la MET Gala. Se torna fácil de criticar y difícil de digerir -lo cual me encanta-, debido a que los asistentes son alentados a seguir un código de vestimenta específico y temático cada año. Dentro de todo, es una noche diseñada para exaltar la moda mientras se presionan algunos límites. Es refrescante tener carte blanche por lo menos una vez cada tanto, ¿cierto?.

Esta versión de la Gala del "Costume Institute" corre a favor del renombrado couturier Charles James. Es por eso que fue aplicado un código de vestimenta tipo "Corbata Blanca & Decoraciones". Trajes dramáticos, completos de gala fueron esperados y lucidos así como rebeldes -sin causa- desempeñaron su papel a la perfección.
